Are you struggling with the effects of past trauma, navigating PTSD, or feeling overwhelmed by mental health challenges that make everyday life difficult? Do you sometimes feel misunderstood, disconnected, or uncertain about how to move forward? You’re not alone. Living with trauma, emotional distress, or the stigma surrounding mental health can feel isolating, especially when your experiences or identity have not always been understood or accepted. Healing is possible, and you deserve a safe, supportive space where your voice is heard, your experiences are valued, and you can begin moving toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My approach is compassionate, humanistic, trauma-informed, and grounded in empathy, cultural awareness, and genuine human connection. Drawing from my own journey of healing and personal growth, I understand the importance of feeling supported and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating PTSD, trauma recovery, and mental health challenges. I integrate Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients stay grounded in the present, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen emotional resilience, and build confidence in their ability to overcome life’s challenges. Together, we’ll explore your experiences at your own pace, creating opportunities for self-discovery, healing, and meaningful change.

I especially resonate with individuals who have experienced trauma, struggled with mental health stigma, or felt misunderstood because of their identities, backgrounds, or life experiences. As an African-American woman, I recognize how cultural experiences, societal expectations, and systemic challenges can influence emotional well-being. I am passionate about supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ communities, and creating an inclusive, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment where everyone feels respected, understood, and valued. My hope is that you leave our sessions feeling more resilient, confident, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges with strength, self-compassion, and a renewed sense of hope.

I bring warmth, compassion, and genuine understanding to each session, creating a safe and welcoming space where you can express yourself openly without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. My approach is humanistic, trauma-informed, and grounded in empathy, cultural awareness, authenticity, and the belief that healing begins when you feel truly heard, respected, and supported.

I am especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating PTSD, trauma recovery, mental health challenges, emotional distress, and the stigma surrounding mental health. I understand how difficult it can be to manage painful experiences while trying to find stability, confidence, and hope for the future. My goal is to provide therapy that feels collaborative, compassionate, and empowering, where your unique experiences are honored and we work together to develop healthier coping strategies and build emotional resilience.

My work is shaped by an appreciation for diverse identities, cultural backgrounds, and the ways societal expectations and systemic challenges influence emotional well-being. As an African-American woman, I recognize the importance of cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and understanding the experiences of marginalized communities. I strive to create an affirming and nonjudgmental environment for individuals from all walks of life, including LGBTQ+ communities, where everyone feels valued, accepted, and empowered to embrace their authentic selves.

Together, we’ll explore the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be affecting your well-being while strengthening your ability to navigate life’s challenges. By integrating Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and present-focused techniques, I hope to help you develop greater self-awareness, confidence, and resilience. My goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling more grounded, empowered, and connected to your strengths, with a renewed sense of hope and the ability to move forward with compassion and confidence.

My hope is that through our work together, you feel heard, valued, and more confident in your ability to overcome life’s challenges. I want to help you reconnect with your strengths, embrace your healing journey, and move forward with greater self-compassion, resilience, and hope.
