For teens (13+) and adults navigating trauma, grief, cultural identity, life transitions, and the lasting impact of difficult experiences, who are seeking therapy that feels compassionate, culturally responsive, and deeply affirming.

NICOLE CALIVO

SHE/HER

Taking New Clients Ages 13+

As someone who deeply values connection and authenticity, my path into therapy has been shaped by personal experiences with grief and loss, as well as my work in community mental health. Through my own healing journey and years of supporting others, I’ve come to understand how powerful it is to feel truly seen during life’s most difficult seasons. That understanding is at the heart of my work.

My multicultural background, lived experience navigating different cultural identities, and training in trauma-informed care shape how I understand identity, belonging, healing, and personal growth. This combination of personal experience and clinical training allows me to connect authentically with teens (13+), adults, and couples, especially people of color, women, members of marginalized communities, and those navigating grief, complex trauma, cultural identity, life transitions, and emotional healing.

I wholeheartedly believe therapy should be a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and accepted exactly as you are. I am committed to honoring each client’s unique story, cultural background, values, and lived experiences with curiosity, compassion, and humility. Through my work supporting individuals navigating trauma, grief, identity exploration, and major life transitions, I’ve seen how meaningful it is to have a space where you don’t have to carry life’s challenges alone. I strive to create an environment where we can explore topics like cultural identity, intergenerational trauma, grief and loss, relationships, spirituality, life transitions, and finding your authentic voice, always keeping your goals, strengths, and what matters most to you at the center of our work together.

I know reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve spent a long time carrying your struggles on your own or haven’t always felt understood. My role is to meet you with compassion, curiosity, and genuine respect while creating a space where you can feel safe enough to explore your story at your own pace. Together, we’ll make sense of the experiences that have shaped you, work through the patterns that no longer serve you, and help you reconnect with your strengths, identity, and sense of hope.Whether you’re navigating grief, trauma, cultural identity, life transitions, or simply trying to understand yourself more deeply, you don’t have to do it alone. Therapy can be a place to feel seen, find your voice, and build a life that feels more authentic and meaningful. When you’re ready, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
