Liz frost MSW, LICSW
Intentional. Compassionate. Bold.

Who is Liz Frost?
as a Person
I’m many things: an optimist, a poet, a friend, a dancer, a queer woman, a partner, a coffee connoisseur, a dog-lover. I’m a type-A dreamer, Enneagram 8w7, and a morning person. I’m a skier, a runner, a rock climber, and a wandering soul.
I believe in the innate ability for humans to change and grow, the power of corrective experiences, and vulnerability as a strength.
I don’t apologize for taking up space, and I believe boundaries save relationships, not hurt them. I fight endlessly for equality. I believe revolution is in our daily actions, and I believe in using the privileges I have to lift others with me.
As a therapist
as the founder
The creation of
Intentional Spaces
Intentional Spaces was born from a deep knowing: that healing is not a one-size-fits-all journey, and that therapy should feel like a space where you are deeply seen, not just assessed. I’m Liz Frost, MSW, LICSW, and founder + clinical director of Intentional Spaces—and for the past 10 years, I’ve been walking alongside individuals, couples, and families as they navigate grief, trauma, identity, and transformation.
I created Intentional Spaces because I saw a need for something more rooted, more thoughtful, and more human. A place where clients and therapists alike could show up with honesty, imperfection, and courage. My work has always centered on trauma—not just the big, obvious ruptures, but the subtle, chronic hurts that shape how we love, how we cope, and how we see ourselves. I specialize in complex trauma, identity work, emotional attunement, and depth-oriented therapy that holds space for both insight and embodied healing.
As a therapist, I am warm, direct, deeply present, and endlessly curious. I believe that healing is a relational process, and I bring a grounded mix of clinical expertise, somatic awareness, and fierce compassion to each session. As a leader, I hold the vision for a practice that is inclusive, ethical, affirming, and radically kind.
Intentional Spaces is more than a therapy practice—it’s a movement toward integrity, depth, and reclamation. It’s a space for those who are unlearning old roles, setting new boundaries, and daring to imagine a life rooted in their own values. Whether you’re navigating trauma, exploring your identity, or seeking more connection in your life, you are welcome here.
This work is sacred to me. It’s an honor to hold space for the bravery it takes to heal—and I’m so glad you’re here.
Liz as a therapist
Tired of living a life that feels less than fulfilling? Never been to therapy before, and you’re nervous about trying it out? Struggling to navigate your identity after leaving a religious institution or exploring your sexuality?
Many of my clients are processing religious trauma, looking for support in their LGBTQ identity, reclaiming or redefining how they embody sex or sexuality, need support coping with ethically non-monogamous relationship complications, or are processing grief due to life transitions. With the most up-to-date evidence-based treatments, I believe in supporting you with an individualized, multi-faceted therapeutic approach to help empower you to live in emotional and mental freedom.
I am trained in Psychodynamic therapy; this means that the healthy, safe, open therapeutic relationship we establish becomes a space for healing t/Traumas and exploring your identity. Humans are relational beings, but, for many of us, those relationships have also come with guilt, judgment, or shame. Through the relationship formed in therapy, we can work together to rewrite this narrative of experience for you; together, we will build the skills to give you a strong sense of self-worth, positive interpersonal boundaries, and the confidence to live a joyful life as your authentic self. Some of the skills that we will work on are components of narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and attachment-based therapy. We are each a tapestry of lived experiences, and I believe that the skills you gain in therapy should be as unique as you are. Therefore, we will work together to build a set of skills that amplifies your strengths and centers your personal goals.
I believe everyone is deserving of a fulfilling life through mental and emotional freedom. As part of the LGBTQ+ community, I am committed to creating a space that is safe and affirming to help you dismantle the beliefs that have caused you shame, anxiety, guilt, or distress. You deserve to feel empowered and proud of your authentic self. I grew up in the “bible belt” of the South, and I have multiple family members still active in the LDS church; I know firsthand how damaging and stifling oppressive systems can be. Therefore, I am also committed to dismantling white supremacy, misogyny, misogyny, and hetero/mono-normative culture, both in my therapeutic work and my personal activism.
